Diffusion Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Optic Nerve Neuropathy.
What it found
The trial ended early for another reason (see below).
Reason given: Study terminated prematurely due to lack of funding. Seven patients with optic neuropathies were enrolled; no healthy volunteers were enrolled.
What was tested
Treatment tested
- Neuroimaging
- VEP - visual evoked potential
- Ophthalmology examination.
What it measured
Main measures
sigma parameter
Periprocedural (single MRI examination)
Brain volume loss
Who could take part
Optic neuritis · 18 and over
Inclusion Criteria: * Patient group: optic neuropathy. * Planned healthy control group: healthy volunteers without concomitant diseases. Exclusion Criteria: - Common contraindications to MRI (presence of pacemaker, non-MRI-safety or claustrophobia).
As registered. Criteria can change, so ask the trial team or your neurologist.
About this trial
In the sponsor's words
